    What are Dental Crowns?

Dental crowns are used to treat a single tooth that is damaged, experiencing recurrent decay, or was recently root canal-treated. Opting for a custom crown has several benefits, including:

    • Restore strength and stability
    • Recreate a natural tooth color and shape
    • Lasting results with mouth friendly materials
    • Normal cleaning with brushing and flossing

    What are Dental Bridges?

A dental bridge is a small appliance that covers the spaces of one or more missing teeth. A bridge uses the surrounding teeth as anchors and is made up of abutment crowns that rest on the anchor teeth and pontic teeth (artificial teeth) to restore the missing space. Dental bridges provide several benefits:

    • Restore bite function
    • Non-removable appliance offers stability
    • Eliminates risk of other teeth shifting
    • Regain a confident smile

How to Get a Dental Crown or Bridge

To get started restoring your teeth, we’ll follows these six steps:

    • Step 1: Dental Exam. Your dentist will determine if you need a crown, a bridge, or both.
    • Step 2: Digital Impression. A digital impression is taken of the area to be used by a dental lab to create your custom crown or bridge.
    • Step 3: Preparation. The teeth are smoothed down, and temporary restorations are placed while the permanent ones are being made in the dental lab.
    • Step 4:  Make Your Custom Crown or Bridge. The dental lab makes the permanent restorations and sends them to our office.
    • Step 5: Try-In. The custom restoration is placed on the teeth to make sure it fits just perfectly and to see if any adjustments need to be made.
    • Step 6: Delivery. If everything looks good, the crown or bridge is then cemented to the teeth finalizing the restoration process.

    What to Expect

Because a crown or bridge is placed securely on your teeth, it will give you the confidence to smile and chew like you once did. These permeant restorations are usually made with porcelain which will match perfectly with your other teeth. And as long as you keep your teeth clean and healthy, you can expect these restorations to last for many years to come.
